Duckman. Great adult cartoon comedy of the mid/late 90's era that ended on a big ol double bird fuck you viewers cliffhanger and writer Michael Markowitz went on record saying that they never formally planned a part 2 to the finale and he went on with some cryptic bullshit that he knows how it ends and he will never tell anyone and it's up to future generations to restart the show. Guy sounds like a pretentious ass!
The Critic was another great adult cartoon for it's time and despite a ratings gain in the second season it was cancelled. The show was ahead of it's time and still holds up well and I think the criticisms it had about the movie industry are even more relevant today. The writers brought it back for a "third season" consisting of 3-5 minute episodes. They got John Lovitz back but because of the low budget they weren't able to bring back the main cast and they were simply left out and not mentioned. Now that half the main cast is dead, I think a lot of the magic would be gone if they did try a legitimate revival.
