The Naked Gun: From The Files of Police Squad: Movie version spun off from the hilarious TV series Police Squad! Though it lacks the keen satire of the show and mainly relies on slapstick humor, it's still a lot of fun. I feel like they went for a more slapstick approach for the Naked Gun movies due to that kind of humor working better within a feature length film. Police Squad was a great show, but I felt its more subtle humor is better suited to 30 minute TV episodes. I liked both the show and the movies though! Good topic. 1988 had some great movies that year. |
