Fast Times at Ridgemont High - In the TV version of the movie, there is a scene where Brad (Judge Reinhold) is talking to a high school counselor who warns him: "There comes a time when you have to get serious about your future, think about college, and put aside all this fun."
Brad says: "My girlfriend broke up with me this year, I lost my job, I wake up at 5:30 to go to work at 7-11, then go to school, then back to 7-11. ...I'm still waiting for the fun to start."
(The scene is not in the theatrical or DVD version of the movie, but it's sometimes included when it comes on TV, so I'm assuming it's a deleted scene.)
Anyway, I like the way the scene debunks some people's perception that high school is such a great time for everyone.
