Just rewatched Prometheus the other day. Still don't understand it.
I don't understand why. Its not the greatest movie, but its not hard to understand.

Who was the Engineer, and why was he so hostile toward the Earthlings?
Which engineer? If you mean in beginning of the movie, I don't think he was being hostile. I think it was an experiment that went wrong. If you mean the one that they woke up at the end of the movie, then I think he saw humans as specimens in need of killing, much like we would see one of the face huggers as something that should be killed.
