Glad to hear this. I'm travelling at the moment, but this is one of the movies I'm most looking forward to seeing when I get home.
I'm enough of a fan of the series to still be able to suspend my disbelief (like rooting for a friend) at some of the more elaborate plot points. This series is more creative than it gets credit for in my opinion. The later installments had the gore take center stage (I'm a horror fan and don't mind), but the storytelling of the first few doesn't get the attention it deserves. Admittedly, they could lean less on that final music cue...
