I liked it too but it still underperformed. I mean there was a brief period where a new Transformers movie automatically meant a billion dollar hit in the making. The first Justice League movie ever by that logic should have made at least Age of Ultron money. And the worst part is I don't think there's a way to remedy the situation without drastic, and perfectly implemented, measures. My guess (since everything is precarious atm) is they're gonna treat Phase 1 as a trial run. Reset more or less with Aquaman; Shazam! and Wonder Woman 2 for what appears to be a Legion of Doom arc instead of the New Gods until the dust settles. Indeed it's not refined but it'd dial things back until someone whether Hamada or Johns or DC-Fan plots a better course. |
