I think Damon's focusing on the wrong thing. He's trying to rationalize about the perpetrators' feelings rather than the victims'.

Agreed. And unfortunately when men chime in on the subject, for the most part, that's what we do. I think there's a little part of all us men who believe that when women speak out like this they kinda mean "us".
