Strother Martin reading a poem to the pet snake was a nice touch. The carnival scene with the previous assistant on display-I found that really disturbing. Someone in the IMDB reviews for it came up with a better ending. He or she said it should have ended with the daughter doing one of those tourist shows and the cobra going right up to her without any hostility and she says "thank you David." The mongoose is quite remarkable. Another film with a mongoose-cobra scene is the Stranglers of Bombay. When dealing with more that one mongoose, are they called mongooses or mongeese?
