Hello fellow foodie friends. I'm heading to Cape Town next month and I'm curious for any and all food recommendations. Great local cuisine, street-market type stuff preferred. Open to all! Thanks!! Klawrencio79 ... I sincerely apologize if I mistook the intent of your post. I guess the terms "shame," and "tsk tsk," misguided my conclusion. In the history of the Food & Drink board (both the original IMDb version, and v2.0), I only recall one frequent poster who shared that she had lived in South Africa, for a few years. On the board, she posted from Finland. I wish that she, and others who represented a more international roster of participants, were back. If we still have an international community, here, I'd love to see posters mention their regions. That was great fun. It appears ... and I may be wrong ... that we're (almost) all from North America. Again enjoy your trip. And, please share your food experiences in Cape Town, when you have time, during the visit - or, when you get home. No need to apologize, my friend! I should choose my words more carefully. I'll definitely share my thoughts, most likely when I return home. The city seems to have tons of tasting menus that are pretty cheap.
