I was spoiled on who the new Jigsaw was, but I'm curious if that surprised anyone since it seemed pretty obvious he was guilty compared to the Jigsaw fangirl and Detective Redherring. But I knew as soon as we saw John Kramer that the whole trap setting was in flashbacks, since they already did that in Saw IV. Didn't see it coming that New Jigsaw was recreating the traps, though. Or that he was the first guy.
I did like how scaled back the traps were, compared to the OTT sequels. Though that laser one was an eye roller. I also had a problem with that one guy being tested, as well as continuing to be tested after he sacrificed his leg for the other two.
As for who Jigsaw was I did think it was a bit obvious (afterwards) but it still got me, I have to admit it.
