No, there are jokes. As for being "dark", that doesn't mean it's any good.
The only good movie is Winter Soldier everything is campy. Even Iron Fist which I didn't like was a perfect 10 compared to the movies.
You must really hate Star Wars, Star Trek, Indiana Jones, Dr Who, Ghostbusters and numerous other classics.
