Possibly. An abundance of forced jokes is part of the MCU movie formula and always a sign that you do not have anything new to say, story, idea or structure wise.
Worse, the "Marvel poison" has affected other franchises too, just look at the Yo Mamma jokes in the last Star Wars, even Yoda behaves more than a squishy-turd-in-your-pillow Raccon by stupidly quipping and blowing things up.
