No, I don't think Dravid was as good as Tendulkar and Lara but only marginally behind them. His ability to make runs in bulks came handy in India winning/drawing some very important series outside of India. His ability to stay at the crease for long also ensured runs came from other end. My favourite of him was two fifties he made in Jamaica in 2006 on a minefield of a wicket. But there are many innings to chose from when we talk about him. That is fair. Even though Lara and Tendulkar were more skillful batsmen, I think Dravid actually had more match-winning performances than both of them in tests. He was great at making his runs count. Up until that ill-fated tour of England in 2011, I don't think we lost a single Test match when Dravid scored a hundred against a top-8 side.
