Would you pronounce Welsh as Weltch or Welsh ?
There is a company here famous for grape jam (preserves) that is pronounced as if it has a "T" in it ... in some parts of the country that is !
When I was in Wales with a English friend he laughed at my pronunciation
On second thought, maybe not; your friend might start talking to you about shed-jules.
