I have looked forward to each one. They introduce the characters, develop everything and do not rush.
For me, that is key to great story telling.
Selleck IS Jesse Stone ! (imo) somehow even more so than that he IS Magnum.
He would have been a great in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Remember it was made in 1981 when he was 36 years old. Harrison Ford was 39.
