I was camping in Texas and came across a relative of your l'il fella trying to cross the road.
I kinda helped him by letting him crawl onto a book I was carrying and then we scurried across.
When I put him down, he stayed long enough to let me take a couple of photos. It would have been cool if he had High Fived me but just visiting with him was enough. I had never seen a live tarantula before and it was a great experience for me ... dunno if it was for him as well but i hope so
He was not quite as hairy or as smiley as your guy.
