I don't think they should do something like that. The unfortunate thing about Superman is that despite his good line up of villains and that he's had 7 live action movies, all they've ever done is have Lex Luthor and Zod multiple times and Doomsday. It doesn't have to be Brainiac but there's that many prominent villians they've never used they shouldn't waste a movie on a nobody. Metallo would also be a good choice. Well, Conduit had a big storyline and was in the comics for a little while in the mid 90s. He was basically the prototype for Batman's Hush character. He's not a complete nobody, and he had the interesting dynamic in that he hated Clark first and didn't care about Superman until he found out they were the same guy. And Zod was actually a lesser known character before Superman II, so there's precedent for making a lesser character bigger. Never read anything with him, but he sounds really interesting. |
