I think rooting interest is kind of it’s own personal demon. Here in Pittsburgh it’s pretty split because whilst Steeler fans hate the Patriots As much as anyone, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia has its own interstate rivalry that is most prominent in hockey but exists in just about any facet of life. So people in my town are kind of split on who they’re rooting for. I guess I am a rare Philly fan who doesn't hate Pittsburgh teams. I have always dreamed of an Eagles/Steelers SB It’s mostly rooted in hockey. I’d have no issue with a Steagles Super Bowl. But because of the Pens Phlyers rivalry there’s a bit of bad blood between towns. All in good fun, as always...but still. |
