The best and deepest analysis so far IMO - some little mistakes like blaming VIII for things VII messed up like eg C-3PO's red arm going gold suddenly. Music is distractingly loud at points, but gets better.
Beware: Very critical and damning review. Must watch for haters and detractors. And it's only part 1.

Listened to this last night, listening to part 2 now. It's everything we've all been saying for over a month now. Incredibly well thought out deconstruction of everything that went wrong with TLJ, from its very inception to its execution onscreen. This should be required viewing/listening for everyone who has seen TLJ. Those of us who already disliked it will nod our heads at every point, and I have to believe at least some of the people who blindly ate this garbage up would come to realize how terrible it really is.
He even makes great points about more abstract things like how heartbroken Hammill must be after taking such pride in being a beacon of hope for a generation and now being reduced to a cowardly laughing stock in order to prop up a new protagonist. Everything about TLJ is a disaster, it just blows my mind that there are any longtime fans out there who legitimately enjoyed this flick.
