If your team gets shut out 1-0, and my team gets shut out 1-0, but your team got no his, and mine had 27 hits, I'm going to feel a lot better about my team than you will about yours.
My team put forth a great effort, and actuary had a chance to win. Your team had no chance, and was overmatched.
It's kinda like the difference between me and you when it comes to women. I have way more chances, and even though I don't always win the Superbowl (so to speak), I come a lot closer than a feckless pantywaste like you. You lose in the regular season. You lose in the wild card, or the divisional. You rarely make it to the championship game.
You are no Tom Brady.
