Andre the Giant. Cary Grant - go on, just once, go against type.
Sofia Boutella. Grant did play against type a few times, though: Suspicion, Notorious, and Charade come to mind. Now, you may very well object that in Suspicion and Charade he was revealed not to be the villain at the end, but the point is that he seemed and played the role villainously for nearly the whole movie in the first case and for a good half of it in the second. In Notorious, he was the romantic lead—but, pointedly, remarkably and uncharacteristically unsympathetic. Actually, Only Angels Have Wings shows his range as well. But, on the whole, I’m rather fond of the persona or “type” he created, and I’m happy that he got to showcase it in so many movies.
