Ford will be 77 by the time the movie goes into production.

Leaving aside the quality of the overall films, I thought Ford was good in Indy 4, The Force Awakens and Blade Runner 2049. He can certainly pull off the tough older guy part, but Indy 4 was a decade ago and in TFA and Blade Runner 2, he was part of an ensemble cast. It's a different situation for Indy 5 where he's supposed to be the lead in an action adventure film.

I hope they can get a good script and work in Indy's advancing years as an integral part of the story. If they do it right, they can give us one last great adventure.
