As much as I love and respect Ford, I really think the series should be rebooted. I'm not a huge fan of the post World War II adventure films. The setting in the 1900's to 1930's just works better. The world still had many hidden secrets that were to be discovered. Plus, the Soviets or Communist Chinese just aren't as good villains as Imperial Germans (pre World War I) or Nazis.
I'd almost rather have the movie follow a narrative course where Ford recounts his days with Ravenwood during his time at the University of Chicago casting a younger actor.
