Indiana Jones 5 to start shooting in 2019

That's an issue I have with a potential fifth film. I've said this before in another thread, but setting an Indy film in the late 60's or early 70's just feels...wrong.

The earlier films had a unique historical backdrop to fit in a serial adventure story:

Temple of Doom - British colonial India with a resurgence of the Thuggees

Raiders & Crusade - Fighting the Nazis pre-WWII

Crystal Skull - Dealing with Soviets during the Red Scare and the era of Roswell/Area 51/alien stories.

I just feel like there's no big historical events post-1965 that you can fit in alongside an old-school action-adventure character.
