Well, just another thought, the only continent that Indy hasn't gone to theatrically (outside of Antarctica) is Australia. I'm just trying to think of what the artifact might be and who the villain would be, especially if it does take place in the 1960's. Aside from folklore about lost mines and pirate treasure (which may work for a prologue action scene but a whole movie?) I hadn't heard much from that corner of the globe. I think that Indiana Jones can work in a 60s/70s setting actually. Hell, they could incorporate the change in tech as a theme of the movie. If I did it, I'd present it by way of something like the animated series Jonny Quest which featured several episodes focused on lost cities, missing treasure, and even had a Nazi war criminal as the villain in one episode. |
