This is dumb, also proof that these comic book shows are getting out of hand. I completely agree... and I even love comic book media! When we used to get a superhero film or tv show every few years, they were something special... But now, there a half dozen new ones every year... ( Wait, Metropolis won't even be a "Superhero" show without Superman!) There are so many of these now, that they end up being made too fast, and the quality of the finished product is terrible. The studios are stomping the genre into the ground. I'm losing interest fast, and it's getting to the point, I don't even want to watch them any more. I would rather watch some other genre! I am not a fan of westerns, but it's getting to the point, I would rather watch a western, just because it would be something different to see... I think the problem is that they are staying in the same corner. Why make a show based on Lois and Lex? Why not make a show using established characters we haven't see yet (like Black Lightning)? Why keep going back to Superman and Batman? Even Flash and Arrow feel like wannabe Superman (Smallville) and Batman (The Dark Knight) shows. Hell, Flash even started out like Smallville by having "meteor freaks" of the week. I'd really like to see some obscure DC characters in a regular show (as opposed to Legends of Tomorrow). If there isn't enough to sustain a show then a movie or 2 would be good.
