If you are ever in the Boston area, hit up Turner Fisheries, they make truly awesome crab cakes. Another dish they have is an old colonial dish, Finnan Haddie, smoked haddock in pearl onion au gratin sauce. Doesn't sound like much but it tastes truly amazing. www.turners-seafood.com/tnx for the rec. i'll check it out. nothing like a good 'fish' sandwich No problem, a couple of other good food recommendations. Beerworks. They have a few locations, including one across the street from Fenway. One of my favorite dishes is the Green Monster, grilled chicken sandwich with cheese and pesto. They also have a bunch of really nice varies of fries like sweet potato with raspberry vinaigrette. North End area has a nice range of good eating places. Cheap places like Dino's can be counted on to still having a few great dishes. Bricco's is the best Italian in the city/area. The original Pizza Regina only serves pizza because they have 100 year old magic oven. For things more exotic, Cambridge Central square has all the Indian restaurants. My favorite is the original and 1st one in the area, Indian Pavilion. Cambridge also has the Afghani place, Helmands. Best steak I ever got was actually a piece of lamb from there. The place use to be owned by the half brother of the president of Afghanistan, Karzi(sp). The half brother was rumored to control the opium import into the US until he was assassinated by his own bodyguard.
