The Pats are done. Losing the Super Bowl has such a negative effect on a team that no team has made the Super Bowl after losing the Super Bowl the previous season since the 1993 Bills and no team has won the Super Bowl after losing the Super Bowl the previous season since the 1972 undefeated Dolphins.

Even Belicheat and the Shady One couldn't make it back to the Super Bowl the season after their Super Bowl losses to the Giants. So with McDaniels and Praticia both leaving and Malcolm Butler most likely leaving along, the Pats aren't going back to the Super Bowl next season.
