One Artist I like was only able to get digital distribution so it was either go without the music or get it digital.

I can relate.

Fortunately, I can count on one hand the number of times I purchased a full album as a digital download because it wasn't available in the CD format:

Absolute Power - "Absolute Power"
Snakeyes - "The Ultimate Sin"

I still felt compelled to create a "proper" CD for each album. I burned each album to a CD-R, and created/printed CD labels and jewel case inserts for each.
