Here's a list a friend forwarded to me, of actresses who are 5'9 or taller (some are over 6ft) who he thought were all young enough to be Red Sonja for the new CONAN series or for her own movie.

It will be interesting to see who ends up getting the leading role and with the ‘Red Sonja’ movie being fast-tracked (with a 2020 release date in mind) I don’t think we will have to wait very long to find out. There are a number of actresses I think could be awesome as Red Sonja and Bridget Regan and Charlize Theron are two names I have seen suggested by fans and I will be happy as long as they don’t hire somebody who looks like they have never spent a day inside of a gym in their lives ‘cause Red Sonja is supposed to be athletic, strong and muscular looking and should have the same build as a WWE wrestler like Beth Phoenix, Natalya or Charlotte Flair. I am also interested in seeing what comic books they use for the inspiration and I would love to see them base it on the series by Gail Simone but Amy Chu’s recent series with Red Sonja in the present fighting monsters in the middle of cities and riding on a motorcycle would be fun to see too and would be completely different than anything they have done with a character like that in a movie. Sadly ‘Red Sonja’ is most likely going to receive a lot of hate from sexist guys for being a female lead comic book movie ‘cause they can apparently have over 200 comic book movies with male leads but they wet themselves anytime one female lead comic book movie is announced and whinge that it is some forced agenda.
