Depends on the kind of boosters.
What I liked about WW was that the film was not about girl power or gener conflict but old fashined storytelling about themes such as the causes of the horrors of war and human agression. The female lead thing was an ancilliary byproduct. If WW had been about a ridiculously naïve guy who goes out and did all the stuff Diana did, I doubt anyone would've give it a second thought.
It would have been even more successful, commercially speaking, There is a reason all female led CMBs flopped before and there were no female directors unlike with action films: Comic book fans are notoriously a demographic with the minds of little boys: They want to identify with the hero and compensate their real life insecurities by having a all-powerful muscle man admired by everybody - meaning they put themselves in their place thus fulfilling their narcissistic fantasies of being universally adored and powerful while in reality...basement dwelling and bad jobbing. Also, this is the first CMB that gave a artistically valuable depiction of war, remember in the similar built Cap1 they were fighting with ray guns and had Hail Hydra Nazis and villains with tomatoe heads during the Shoa. Just hideous, if you thought Raiders was stupid this added a new dimension of stupid, tact- abd tasteless.
