Doubt it, the story would've been criticized for being that generic.
There is a reason all female led CMBs flopped before
The Studios themselves didn't care or put any effort in. And they chose poor characters to make a movie about (Supergirl, Tank Girl, Barbed Wire, etc).
They want to identify with the hero and compensate their real life insecurities by having a all-powerful muscle man admired by everybody - meaning they put themselves in their place thus fulfilling their narcissistic fantasies of being universally adored and powerful while in reality...basement dwelling and bad jobbing.
Is that why Marvel, with their flawed and imperfect heroes, do so well? Maybe they want more than a blank Mr/Ms Perfect (DC's specialty).

With magic strength gas and giggling German Scientists with plastic faces? And a God whispering stuff in their ears?
remember in the similar built Cap1 they were fighting with ray guns and had Hail Hydra Nazis and villains with tomatoe heads during the Shoa. Just hideous, if you thought Raiders was stupid this added a new dimension of stupid, tact- abd tasteless.
They just showed, again, that the MCU Earth is not a "grounded" world and stuff like Aliens and Magic being around meant stuff would be different. Break out of your box.
