This might just be my favourite Mann western, ahead of Man From Laramie. As an aside, Man of the West, although highly regarded, is probably my least favourite of the 8 or so Mann westerns I've seen. My favourite would be a toss-up between 'Winchester 73', 'Bend Of The River' and 'The Naked Spur'; Anthony Mann was a great genre filmmaker. |
