The highly flammable gas isn't going to go highly flammable until something ignites it. Splash some fuel on a wing, set it on fire ... that should give you a couple minutes to get clear of the explosion when the fire reaches the bombs. Still confused? ... or are we good? Wasn’t there enough gas in that plane to bomb London? It kind of seems like Steve Trevor would’ve been screwed no matter how he tried to dispose of it. Yes, which is why it would have burned real nice. If Steve Trevor was portrayed as a reasonably intelligent person, he could have been a mile away before the fire he set reached the fuel tanks. If he was an imbecile and dropped a match into a fuel tank, then his plot driven stupidity would have been on par with what we saw in the movie. Any of this sinking in?
