The premise and visuals were interesting and there were some disturbing sequences for it's time. The problem with the film, is the just adequate performances. Barker is not good at directing his actors and the leads in this were bland, like another poster has commented. Look at CANDYMAN-93', which had a different director helming Barker's story and the acting in this one is terrific. I don't think any of the few films he has directed, really comes up to scratch in the acting department.
