Which rune is that J.B. ? Your avi... Sure! In fact, it isn't a rune, but it is the Chi-Rho symbol of Christianity, from the Greek letters of the initials of Christ's name (Letters Chi, and Rho). It was an early Christian symbol, but most famously, it was used by the Roman Emperor Constantine I during the Battle of the Milvian Bridge in 312 AD, outside of Rome itself. As the account goes, Constantine received a vision from God with the symbol that looks like a letter P with an X, standing for Christ's name, and the letters for "In this sign conquer," or "In hoc signo vinces," in Latin. Constantine soon ordered for as many of his army's shields to be painted with the intersecting Chi-Rho letters as possible. It continued to be a common symbol for the Roman Empire for centuries, ending with the Eastern Roman Empire's (Byzantines) collapse in 1453, to the Ottoman Empire (now Turkey). I am a Roman history enthusiast, and I think it's a very interesting and significant battle, and there's more to it in this Wikipedia article here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Milvian_BridgeEffectively, Constantine's victory through this battle allowed for the legal acceptance of Christianity, as opposed to persecution, throughout the entire Roman Empire. Eventually, Christianity became the majority religion of the Romans themselves, by the Fifth Century AD, although I suspect many converts went into it out of social and political pressures, rather than real inspiration. The one specifically in my avatar is from the computer game Rome: Total War (Barbarian Invasion expansion pack), where it represents the Western Roman Empire.
