Thanks. Any thoughts on Edwards copies of Gibson guitars? I've heard they're very good but haven't played one. Nor have I. Edwards guitars seem to be good buys. They look good and at least some have Seymour Duncan pickups. If bought from Japan, they might incur a customs fee, but even with that they're about $1100 – well below a Gibson Les Paul Classic or Standard. Getting back to Gibson and its financial woes (which the company denies, by the way), I'm afraid Gibson will shift at least some manufacturing to Korea or China. Fender already has a two-tier system of Mexican- and US-made. |
