That whole final sequence just felt too CGIish to me. And the wide shot of them scurrying out onto the ledge looked unfinished. It makes me wonder if they spent less money on CG in order to build such an A list cast. Still a great movie though. I'm just easily irked by subpar FX. The CGI was adequate for me. It was not stellar but I don’t think it was Scorpion King-level bad. It certainly wasn't horrendous. I just think the bar should be set higher considering these are the biggest money makers of all time. I'm just jaded with modern Hollywood FX because they rarely shoot for excellence anymore. CG is generally used now to make filming cheaper rather than enhance the shot... i.e. the green screen in the spirit realm. |
