Yes both Rodan and Mothra are as good as the original Godzilla film! If you haven't seen them yet then you should, the Japanese version of Rodan is even better then the american cut version if you ask me. I will definately check out the original cuts. After seeing the original Gojira I have no interest in the American versions.
The plot for Mothra sounds so odd though: Mothra is some sort of Goddess? I guess it probably works though.
