I disagree, vits.
This movie is one of my favorite films in my most favorite genre--the musical.
Part of it, mostly early scenes, were shot on location in NYC, but the majority of it was filmed on Hollywood sound stages.
It was just to awkward and expensive to lug that heavy Technicolor equipment cross country.
But what really makes the movie stand out for me is the hilariously goofy performance of Jules Munshin as Ozzie.
IMO, it is one of Hollywood's tragedies that he never became the major star he deserved to be.
