Harry Potter - HBO has the whole series so decided to hunker down and watch it. What can I say. Overall it was highly enjoyable. I was assuming Prisoner of Azkaban was going to be my favorite since it's directed by Cuaron and it is quite good. I loved the use of time travel in itand the way it's filmed is the best of the bunch. However, the best one is Goblet of Fire. It really felt like a game changer, the relationships felt stronger, and also had the best action. The crowning achievement is not the action scenes which were pretty standard, & the villain was nothing special. It was the friendships developed. I completely bought into the three main characters being best friends and loved that Hermione & Harry were platonic . My order of preference Goblet of Fire Prisoner of Azkaban Half Blood Prince Order of the Phoenix Deathly Hallows 1 primarily edging out two for the animation of the Deathly Hallows story Deathly Hallows 2 Sorcerer's Stone Chamber of Secrets
I wouldn't grade anyone of them below a B though. Goblet of Fire was my favorite novel...and initially I disliked the movie because it could never be as good as the story it was based on. But I’ve started to like it more over the years. I still think the best film was Deathly Hallows 1, the Nagini scene was downright creepy! I loved it! And the movie as a whole was pretty solid. Chamber of Secrets was always one that I liked a lot too. The spiders were good, the whole revelation of Tom Riddle, the whole thing was lots of fun.
