1. Agree...probably mostly due to nostalgia. It was my favorite movie growing up.

3. Nope. I hated 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep'. Cutting out all the extemporaneous shit and streamlining the story worked wonders for Blade Runner, IMHO. But, then again, I'm not much of a fan of PKD's work. I also hated 'A Scanner Darkly' and 'The Man in the High Castle', although I did like 'Ubik'.
