Syriana (2005)
The stories that this movie tries to tell about the dirty politics of the global oil industry, while intriguing, are not always easy to follow, which makes it all the more fascinating/frustrating and persuades the viewer that maybe a secong viewing will makes things clearer. (it doesn't). But all is redeemed by the quality of the very large cast. which includes George Clooney, Matt Damon, Chris Cooper, Christopher Plummer, Jeffrey Weight, William Hurt and others. I've watched it twice and will go back for another go. I'm especially puzzled about why the dad of Jeffrey Weight's character is included.
Clooney won Best Supporting Actot Oscar for this and that was well deserved.
