You do realize that the original claim I responded to was: "There's nothing wrong with kids doing drugs and drinking," yes? If now you're going with "nobody lives forever" as a defense, I'll just say "there's nothing wrong with going skydiving without a parachute." I'm getting rather tired of you moving the goalposts. You ask me to show where the article says the amount matters, and now you're saying that me showing that isn't the same as showing no matter how much is smoked there's brain damage, which isn't something you asked me to show, nor something I claimed. The negatives of smoking weed are miniscule so there's no comparison. From the very start I admitted weed can be bad if abused. Why would I ask you to show me something I already knew? You stated "but no amount of educating will stop weed from doing damage to adolescent brains." So I presumed you er re saying all weed no matter the amount or frequency causes damage. I don't call a loss of 8 IQ points a "minuscule" negative, but whatever you want to tell yourself. From the very start you said "There's nothing wrong with kids doing drugs and drinking," and ever since I proved that was false you've been moving the goalposts in order to deflect from that fact. What I meant by "but no amount of educating will stop weed from doing damage to adolescent brains" is the same thing I'd mean by "no amount of educating will stop teens from getting pregnant" or "...stop people from driving drunk" or whatever. Education doesn't stop people from being stupid; it can only help reduce the number of stupid people. Besides, we don't know what (if any) amount is "safe" for teenagers. Until we know, keeping it illegal under a certain age is prudent.
