It is, it's Lucas writing at its most banal. No it's not. Have a better civilization than most everyone else and better sciences. They have certain traditions forced on them by their God, but otherwise they're just that further ahead. Fact: No Wakandan, in the thousand of years since its inception, has ever left Wakanda. Ever. War Dogs use Wakandan telepresence technology to conduct their missions. They’ve never conducted trade with any other nation - not even through intermediaries. No Wakandan learns anything from another outside of the phrase “Wakanda Forever!” They never knew about the Great War, World War II or the Slave Trade. They’re completely and utterly removed from the world as if Andy from that episode of the Twilight Zone had wished them away into a cornfield. Wakanda is hermetically sealed in a giant plastic sand which bag that has never been opened, observed or experienced. If anyone tells you differently, they’re lying. Case closed. |
