NoraThat's one thing I think is overrated is the 'theater experience' as while I don't mind it here and there it's not going to really make the overall experience of a movie for me any better than if I was at home. sure, being in a theater with the loud/clear sound can be cool here and there and the nice large screen is nice but overall I prefer watching movies at home in general. Yeah, but apparently I am in the minority around here on these two movies. as for the director of Blade Runner 2049 (2017), I rank his movies like this... 1.Sicario (2015) - 7/10 (within my Top 186 movies) 2.Enemy (2013-2014) - 6-6.5/10 (within my Top 235 movies) 3.Arrival (2016) - 6/10 (a mild Thumbs Up) 4.Prisoners (2013) - 5/10 (Thumbs Down) 5.Blade Runner (2049) so while Blade Runner 2049 is the worst of the five movies of his I have seen, I mostly gave Prisoners the slight edge as being both are only decent enough for a viewing I would give Prisoners the small edge. so basically I think this director is solid if given the right subject matter. p.s. the director has more movies then the five I listed above, but I have basically seen all of his movies once he hit more mainstream status.
