So you’re suggesting that they universally decided to go easy on the film for their own personal agendas? Did I get that right? Also, your assessment that critics have some PC agenda when it comes to reviewing movies, but not towards the “bad” movies doesn’t work. If critics did have a political agenda, why would they care if the movie is good or bad? Their readers wouldn’t take them seriously either way if they think they have an agenda in mind. 29 critics didn't like the movie. I'm sure a number of critics also reviewed the movie fairly. So obviously they didn't "universally" go easy on the movie. A significant number did overrate the movie though. If a movie clearly sucks ass then any critic giving it a largely positive rating stands out from the crowd......not in a good way. If a movie critic's opinion can't be trusted to be an honest reflection of what they actually think then they are extremely unlikely to foster a large readership and become successful. You seem to be under the impression that because you didn’t like the movie was all that, it means that the majority of critics must have shared your opinion. It comes across as a lame excuse.
