I won't stop, because it's the truth. In this case it was because a hyped up Actor died young and they didn't want to appear disrespectful. The point about AWIT is that if something is just bad enough, no amount of boosting can save it. You have zero evidence to suggest that it is in anyway “the truth”. Just stop. You’re not doing anyone any favors by claiming that people only liked a movie because an actor died. The only one who’s appearing disrespectful is you. Heath Ledger has been dead for 10 years. If people only went easy on the movie out of pity, it would not still be remembered as a great film today. Now it has nostalgia on its side and fanatical Nolanites who won't let it be anything but worshiped. Otherwise we'd have people who'd openly admit the whole "Die a Hero, or become a villain" philosophy is full of holes instead of acting like its an absolute. It's gotta be the Ur-Example of artificial boosters for a CBM. That, and DC fans won't stop parading it around like it's the end-all of Cinema.
