If critics thought that BvS and SS were bad (which they did) why would they take pity on the franchise that spawned those films?

I even provided an example of when pity results in disproportionate adulation. Do I have to repeat it again, or can you find your way back to my previous post?

The DCEU fell flat on its face with BvS and SS. It wasn’t apparent that this was going to be the norm until Justice League came out. When WW was released there was still some sympathy for the fledgling DCEU and the difficulties it was having. Just read the reviews. Today, the general consensus is that DC simply doesn't give a shit, so pity boosters will be in short supply for any future DC movies.
