But it can’t be a mobster who had been dead before the murders took place. That still leaves them with a problem. Who could they possibly blame? Any mobsters, hell if any mobsters die during the fake investigation just use them. It's not like the Mobsters wanted for anything could claim they were innocent. Dark Knight took the lazy way out, without considering other options. This is the laziness I'm talking about. Gotham City is the kind of place where you can just say "Someone's been murdered" and there will probably never be a conclusive answer. That actually sounds like a much lazier ending than having Batman willingly take the blame, especially on the count of all the questions it would raise. |
